My name’s Joel, and I live in the often beautifully sunny Perth, on the western side of Australia. It’s not a big city, but it’s home and a place I love. And, it’s from a small house in the middle of suburbia that I run Plasma Beam, a humble provider of modern digital art that’s perfectly suited to a wide range of needs. There’s no faceless corporation here. I’m always up for a chat, and more interested in helping people than making millions.
Plasma Beam was originally created as a service to help people change the art they have. But, I’ve opened it up to provide some less common digital art types for things like game development, which is a side passion of mine.
I’m known around the art world as a generalist, which is like a jack of all trades. Everyone knows that specialists are masters of whatever area they focus on. A generalist isn’t a master, but has skills across a wide range of areas. The advantage of this, and why it’s an important part of Plasma Beam, is that I can do helpful things like seamlessly edit other artist’s artwork, provide feedback on a wide range of art types, and think outside the boxes many specialists live in.
None of that's any good though if I'm not around. Some artists have the habit of vanishing, sometimes mid project. That certainly isn’t me. I’ve been around the ‘net for a long time, and am passionate about being around when you need me.
Well, you could have a look around the site and see if what I do is what you need. Or, simply get in touch if you’d like help finding someone to do what you need. Send me an email on hello@plasma-beam.com
